AN OVERVIEW
Business owners of the Midwest came together to form an Alliance in 1999. A majority of the founding members were owners of Fast Food Restaurants and Convenient Stores. In a span of 10 years, MBA has become a key Alliance of business people engaged in variety of businesses in the Midwestern United States. Key partnerships and strong ties have maintained the vision of MBA and members have seen an increase in growth and stability to their bottom line by being part of the Midwest Business Alliance since its inception over 10 years ago. The focus in the coming years will be to continue these strong ties to the community, government and distributors to increase members' resources and continue to establish itself within the Midwest business realm.
MBA’s Mission Statement:
To bring business people on a common platform in order to:
- Cash in on bulk buying and negotiating power.
- Encourage and support new business initiatives.
- Facilitate new business startups and diversification.
Optimistically focused on it’s Mission, MBA constantly explores opportunities to foster unity among the business people and their participation in the trade Alliance activities. Endeavors in this direction enhances member’s overall image in the business community and simultaneously strengthens the Alliance.
MBA constantly is in search for the reliable distribution houses for goods and services that would offer special benefits and services to its membership throughout Midwestern United States.
MBA also encourages and supports aspiring entrepreneurs by assisting them with statutory and licensing requirements. For the peoples already in business, MBA promotes diversification and facilitate members in their diversified business initiatives.
From time to time MBA holds seminars and workshops on business related issues for its members and arrange educational seminars that could assist member in their business. To facilitate members in food related business, MBA regularly arranges Food Sanitation Certification Seminars for the members and their staff.
Community out-reach programs is another major activity of MBA. Outreach initiatives are undertaken stand alone and/or in conjunction with other local and national level community institutions.
One of the resourceful tools for the Alliance is the Newsletter that MBA publishes religiously every month. The Newsletter is meant to update members on current business trends and issues. Newsletter also updates members on the beneficial deals signed by the Alliance and provides insights into business opportunities that are in the market place for them to explore.
MBA is affiliated with the National Alliance of Trade Associations (NATA) whose membership strength is over 4500 businesses all over United States. By default, the Presidents of all Trade Alliances/Associations like ours are Directors on the Board governing the National Alliance of Trade Associations (NATA).
